ACC provides care during the day for adults who are moderately impaired—either physically or mentally or both—by dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or as the result of some other illness or injury such as a stroke. ACC’s goal is to enrich its clients’ daytime hours so they can continue to reside at home.
ACC is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. except holidays. The program is primarily for adults who are over age 60, but younger adults can be accommodated. Clients must be mobile and independent, but may use walkers or canes. They should handle meal times with little or no help.
ACC has been a safe haven for this special segment of DuPage elderly residents for over 30 years. Regular visits to our center help fight isolation, loneliness, and resulting mental and physical deterioration. ACC offers a clean, safe, comfortable setting, with friendly, consistent caregivers.
