Sunday School at Epiphany is a tradition supported by caring teachers committed to educating children in Bible lessons and traditions of the Lutheran faith. Kids age 2 to Kindergarten get classroom lessons with crafts and a snack, along with a group session of prayer and music with their worship leaders. Children grades 1-6 start out with their parents during the 9:30 Worship service, and then hear the Children’s Message preached by a Pastor. Then they head downstairs to our Sunday School rooms for class lessons focused by age level. They get to participate in music, share in mission projects, and hear speakers. All of our children get to participate in the Christmas drama each year, a highlight for many Epiphany members.
Sara, Epiphany Sunday School Teacher
“I continue to walk through Epiphany’s doors because we are a small, family- oriented church with strong leadership. We know each other. When I specifically think of our Sunday School, I feel blessed to be working alongside so many committed teachers and parents to grow our children. Teaching is a gift from God. As teachers, we are responsible for “filling up” each child that walks into our classroom with God’s teachings, love, and grace. We are also responsible for helping each child understand their unique God-given talents so that they may reach out and share their talents with others. The kids and I are on a faith journey together, learning from each other by bridging bible lessons and life experiences.”
